COMMITTEE REPORTS
RETIREE ISSUES TASK FORCE – Dave Crow reported they did meet in December and discussed issues which were forwarded to the City. He has no other information at this point; however, he thinks we possibly will hear something after the 1st of March.
HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE – Dave Crow said this Committee did not meet in January. They will be looking at out of area coverage and retiree health insurance for the New Year. Rumors that they are looking at higher co pays. Again nothing will be heard until March.
ADVOCACY COMMITTEE – Joe Flynn advised the Committee met and wanted to concentrate on gathering information on all the activities that are going on with the Retirement Board and all the Committees and Sub-Committees. This information will then be brought back to the Committee. Joe reminded the group that we do have a web
site and encouraged everyone to check it out. As the newsletter is only once a month and has limited space, if something is really critical it can be put on the website and his Committee will try and activate a phone tree.
